It is important to get regular exercise, which will help to lower high stress levels, but there are other things you can do in addition to this. When stressed, stop what you are doing and take a few minutes to calm your mind, and take several slow, deep breaths. Also take time to do something that makes you happy every day that you find relaxing, even if it is something as simple as going for a walk, reading, or listening to music.

Being aware of when you are stressed and taking control of it will great increase your energy, calm your mind, and ward off the effects of lowered immunity and other health related illnesses. It will also help you to sleep better and handle everyday situations much better. None of us can completely get rid of the stresses in life, but we can have better overall health if we keep the mind and body connection in mind and do our best to stay positive.
