Whether you’re on the road or just away from your gym, it doesn’t mean that you should take a break from your workouts.  Try these tips to keep yourself active and healthy:

  • There really are no excuses to not workout no matter where you are.  All you need is a small space to move around in and the motivation to do it.
  • Exercises such as push ups, burpees, prone cobras, air squats, jumping jacks and sit ups can be done in a very confined spaced and require no equipment.
  • If you’re out of town and in a safe neighbourhood, look for a park where you can run, do lunges or any other exercise that requires some space.  Not only will you be getting in a workout, but also some fresh air, too.
  • Many gyms that have franchises in different cities will let you travel with your membership and use it wherever they have a place.  Sometimes there is a small fee, though.
  • Make sure to bring your athletic shoes and clothing with you, since one of the biggest reasons for not working out while travelling is that people forget their shoes.

So, the next time you travel, plan to workout and enjoy the different type of workout and the variety it brings to your routine.
