Insanity workout (400x400)The Insanity Workout is so intense it is being called “the world’s most insanely tough workout” that promises that in only 60 days, you will have the physical results of one year of workouts! It is a 45 minute DVD that will help you shed pounds quickly, and gain muscle tone like never before.

The routine consists of three to five minute blocks, and after each block you only stop for a few seconds to catch your breath, and then on to the next intense movement for three to five minutes. Also known as interval training, this type of intense program has been proven to really give results. When you keep pushing your body in this manner, your body is forced to adapt which makes results happen more quickly.

Each part of the body is worked separately. Plyometrics are used to build the glutes and legs, then upper body resistance for the chest, back, shoulders, and arms. There is a special abs workout called “cardio abs” that is an extra intense core workout. Add to this cardio to burn fat.

The DVD also comes with a calendar that tells you what routine to do each day and it also has a tracker to help you keep track of results. Also included is a 10 minute guide to show you what you will be doing over the two month journey on Insanity. There is also a nutrition plan included to help you speed up your metabolism, and also to be sure you have the fuel your body needs for the intensity of the program. An extra bonus is a free online support chat room where you can speak to others who are on the Insanity plan, ask questions, and stay motivated.

As an extra incentive, if you send before and after photos of yourself in by submitting here, you will be sent a t-shirt that says “I earned it” to let the world know that you completed the Insanity Workout.

Is it hard? Yes! Is it worth it? Yes! My only suggestion would be to make sure you are in shape enough to do this workout. See your doctor before starting to see if you are healthy enough for a routine this intense. To get an idea of how difficult it truly is, watch this promotional video.

For ordering, go to the website by clicking here where you can also read testimonials, see before and after pictures, and watch an additional video. Are you up to the challenge?
